Our Story
Hi! I'm Emily. I'm a wife to Justin and Mom to Landon, Logan and Emmy.
I am a serial crafter, and love to create. Doodling? Yes. Painting? Double yes. Crafting of any kind? I'm there! This business started when I started to stay home with my children when they were little. I found a way to make my love of crafting into a business. Rosella + Margaret was what I named my shop, after my two grandmothers. I like to say that my business has grown up with me over the years, because when I started, I had babies at home and I was sewing baby items. Within a few years I had moved on to jewelry, and finally landed on sign making in 2016. That is where I found my passion!
Sign making started when I saw a piece of home decor and thought to myself, "I can make that! How did they do that?" I purchased a scroll saw with some Christmas money, and taught myself how to use it. I started making signs that made me happy and I would put in my own home as well as custom projects for customers. Within a couple years, I found myself needing reinforcements, that's where more machines and my family comes in! Justin cuts backgrounds on our CNC machine, Landon helps me stain and frame, Logan helps me with sanding, and Emmy keeps me company and helps me make shipping boxes. R+M Woodshop truly is a family affair in our home garage!
Today we make everything from seasonal decor, handwriting pieces, name signs for nurseries, and small business logos. If you don't see it here, ask me! Let's make it! I love a new challenge and no project is too big or too small.
I love my job! I adore making things that brighten people’s homes, or provide a special sentiment. I love picking out the perfect paint colors to go in a space in your home. I am the luckiest to be able to stay home and do what I love every day. And all of that is possible because of you! I know that there are others like me who make things to hang on your walls, but it is truly an honor that you picked my shop to create a special piece for your home. My family and I are thankful for your support!
